This project involved the construction of a purpose-built RV carport, designed to provide long-term protection for a client’s recreational vehicle while maintaining strength, durability, and a clean finish.
The carport was built to a 3-metre height to comfortably accommodate the RV, using 150–170 SED H4 timber posts for added rigidity and structural confidence. All exposed timber cuts were treated with CCA Metalex timber preservative, ensuring ongoing protection against moisture and decay.
The base consists of a 150 mm thick exposed aggregate concrete driveway, poured over a heavily compacted sub-base to handle vehicle weight and prevent future settlement. The exposed aggregate finish provides both durability and a premium, low-maintenance look that complements the surrounding landscape.
This build delivers a robust, practical solution tailored specifically to the client’s needs, with a strong focus on longevity, structural performance, and workmanship.
